Jillian Ward is ‘Daldalita’


What effectively works deserves another crack at success. Thus child wonder Jillian Ward is set to reunite with director Don Michael Perez for another run at triumph after the success of last year’s "Trudis Liit."
Jillian, one of GMA Artist Center’s most adorable discoveries, will star in an upcoming new series called "Daldakina" to be directed once again by the well-reputed GMA-7 resident writer-director. "Trudis Liit" propelled the six-year-old personality to immediate fame, proving that a main act’s on-screen charisma and good directing are recipes for teleserye success.

Supporting Jillian in her much-awaited primetime soap are Ogie Alcasid, Gellie De Belen, Elmo Magalona and Julie Ann San Jose. It had been reported that while taping for the series will only commence by October.

Proof of Jillian’s fame is the fact she’s busy working and visible on TV. Recently she appeared as Super Tiny opposite Richard Gutierrez’s Captain Barbell character of the return instalment of the hit fantaserye. She also plays Jecjec in the current hit sitcom "Andres de Saya" starring Cesar Montano and Iza Calzado.

Interestingly, on her first teleserye role, in "The Last Prince," she played the role of one named Daldanika.

Jillian, a fomer Promil commercial model, will also have a new movie project in the offing. She previously appeared in movies like "Si Agimat at Si Enteng Kabisote," "Patient X" and "My Valentine Girls."
The tot’s amiable personality and charm have touched televiewers and showbiz fans, making her an instant hit and one of the more popular Kapuso stars.--Malaya
