Robin Padilla will reportedly star in a movie with Marian Rivera

When Robin Padilla was named as one of the 12 "Men Who Matter" by a lifestyle magazine recently, members of the press took the opportunity to ask him regarding two of his upcoming movies.

In a video interview uploaded on the Philippine Star's website, Robin himself revealed that he has already met with Regal matriarch Mother Lily Monteverde regarding an upcoming movie, which will reportedly pair him with Marian Rivera.

Robin said with a smile: "Exciting nga, e.

"Nag-meeting na kami ni Mother, maganda ang konsepto..matindi. "Humanda ka Marian Rivera...magte-training ka sa akin!" In real life, Robin is married to Mariel Rodriguez while Marian is in a relationship with Dingdong Dantes. Will Robin and Marian have kissing scenes in this upcoming movie? "Hindi naman ako papayag na wala," stated Robin. Won't Mariel get jealous? He then explained, "Trabaho lang 'yon. Nasa loob po tayo ng pelikulang Pilipino. Kailangan nakakapagbigay tayo ng entertainment." How excited is he to work with Marian Rivera? "Si Marian ang masasabi nating reyna ng GMA. Isang malaking karangalan [ang makatrabaho siya]."Ang ganda niya! Ano pa bang hihingin ng isang leading man? Wala nang hihilingin ang isang leading man," he said.

According to a report written by Jun Nardo in the Pilipino Star Ngayon, this Robin Padilla-Marian Rivera movie is being considered as a Valentine's Day offering next year.

UPCOMING MMFF MOVIE. The lead actor of ABS-CBN's teleserye, Guns and Roses,is slated to topbill the movie Mr. Wong. To be directed by Tina Dayrit and Retchie del Carmen, this action-adventure film will be one of the eight films competing in the 37th edition of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

Robin declined to give other details about his character named Peter Wong except to say that "superhero siya" and "magaling sa martial arts."

According to the MMFF organizing committee, the producers of Mr. Wong is still negotiating to have Angelica Panganiban as the leading lady of Robin in this MMFF entry.

The action star confirmed this by saying, "Hanggang ngayon nakikiusap pa rin, kumakatok pa rin kami sa Star Magic."

Robin also revealed that if they don't get Angelica as the lead star, he will change the plot of the movie.

According to Robin, his wife Mariel had a role in conceptualizing his character in the movie.
