TOTOY MARQUEZ

Totoy Marquez is a former PBA player who was famous for his extra-ordinary shooting skills. In the 80’s, he joined the powerhouse cast of Shell Rimulla X. Marquez comes from a famous clan in show business. The late Artemio Marquez is his father. Melanie is his younger sister and Joey is his half brother. Because of financial mismanagement and addiction to his vices, he now lives a hard up life in Bulacan where he stays in a nipa hut and drives a tricycle for a living.

POPE JOHN PAUL II DEVOTEES

In celebration of Pope John Paul II coming beatification on May 1, let’s relive his life and the inspiration and hope that he has given to his devotees. Carmelo Cortes came face to face with the Pope for three times, and he has] with him relics such as skull cap given to him by no less than the Pope. On December 2004, Mel Catanghal suffered from skin asthma. When the Pope passed away, Mel’s brother, Fr. Von prayed for Mel’s recovery through the intercession of Pope John Paul II. In less than a week, Mel got better. Capt. Rolando Luna was a pilot for the Pope in 1981, his first visit to the Philippines. After 3 decades, pilot Rolly admits the Pope has been a great influence in his life, even after his retirement.
